LACKING ANY INVESTIGATION, THE INDIAN PM VAJPAYEE AND SENIOR JUDGES SERIOUSLY COMPROMISED
BY SIGNING A SELF-DEFEATING PUBLIC STATEMENT MERELY ON REQUEST OF SATHYA SAI BABA OFFICIALDOM

The Indian 'Right to Information' Act was employed to challenge the validity of the totally unfounded claims by former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee and two retired Chief Justices of India Mr. P.N. Bhagavati and Mr. Ranganath Mishra. That a PM and such senior judges can stoop to such a level of assertion without a figment of proof or investigation of any kind is itself a major indicator of the lack of accountability and scorn for both factuality and the law at the highest levels of Indian Government. It is patently evident that no investigation of the claims can be shown to have been made by them or anyone official sources can name.

The bureaucracy gave the application the full run-around, but it was to no avail, as we did not desist. One can see the absurd lengths to which the authorities went to pretend to be dealing with his appeal to the, yet while providing no information of any value, and side-stepping the indefensible issue he raised. This bureaucratic dissembling is perhaps partly a legacy of the British Sirkar, but is most obviously also dictated by the fear that the Indian VIP's will punish anyone who steps out of line - VIPs even including the present President Kalam, the current Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the current Home Minister (all confirmed followers of Sathya Sai Baba - among other Indian Ministers) whose international reputations are at stake in the matter of their unquestioning support of a fraudulent guru who claims to be God Incarnate!

Dear Sir,
I refer to your letter No. 24013/11/2006-CSRIII dated 7.6.2006 posted on 9th and received by me on 12.6.2006 to the Addl. Secretary to Govt & State PIO (Police Wing) Home Dept, Govt. of AP, Hyderabad with a copy to me.
The information I sought in my application dated 13.3.2006 was whether the then Prime Minister, Mr A.B. Vajpayee and the two retired Chief Justices of India investigated about the sexual abuse by Satya Sai Baba before their statement was published on the website titled Sri Sathya Sai Baba - A living legend an Embodiment of Love for all mankind. Did you verify with the Principal Secretary to the Ex. Prime Minister about this? It is wrong to say that this does not concern any of the Central Public Officers notified by the Ministry of Home Affairs, that a person claiming to be the personification of all gods whom billions of people in India and abroad believe to be so including the Union Home Ministry should wash their hands like this.
That was why I sent the application to the Hon. Prime Minister in whose office the information would have been available unless the Ex. Prime Minister destroyed the files before he resigned from the Prime Ministers Post. I find that the RTI Act in being turned into a farce by the way the applications are shunted from one office to the other delaying the reply for two months when under the RTI Act the details have to be furnished within 30 days.

DearSir,
I refer to your letter No. 24013/11/2006-CSR-lll dated 21.6.2006 received by me,on 26.6.2006 in reply to my request made on 13:3.2006 under RTI Act - 2005 to the Hon. Prime Minister which was referred to you by the PMO by letter No. RTI/26/2006-PMA dated 3.4.2006.
Also copy of your letter No. MHA 1:D.No. 24013/11/2006-CSR-lll dated 10.7.2006 to Director, Central Public Information Officer, PM's Office, South Block, New Delhi.
As the information asked for is as follows
"As the Indian Prime Minister and the two retired Chief Justices of India would not give such statements without proper investigation. I believe that they would have. investigated the sexual abuse by Sathya Sai Baba of the youths and also I request you to let me know whether any investigation on the sexual abuse of youths by Sathya Sai Baba have been done and a certified copy of the same".
As the statement by Mr. A.B. Vajpayee was made when he held the most responsible position as Prime Minister of India, if no records were available in the PMO or in the Ministry of Home Affairs, you ought to have written to Mr. A.B. Vajpayee and found out if his statement was based on investigation and verification and given the information as in the statement they have made grave allegations as follows:
1. "The wild reckless and concocted allegations made by certain vested interests and people against Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba,
2. We would normally expect that responsible media would ascertain the.true facts before printing such calumny.
3. We unequivocally condemn the baseless and malicious allegations being hurled upon Sathya Sai Baba in certain Quarters.
Therefore kindly get the information from Mr. A.B. Vajpayee while he was the Prime Minister on the statement he has made in the internet along with two Ex-Chief Justices of India, whether the statement signed by them was after ascertaining the true facts as the- most responsible person by holding the chair of the Hon. Prime Minister.

As an Indian citizen who was dismissed from 8th standard in a school in Kerala for participating in the Students Independent Movement in 1938, l.do not expect that the Hon. Ex. Prime Minister Mr. A.B. Vajpayee and the two Ex - Chief Justices of India Mr. P.N. Bhagavathi and Mr. Ranganath Mishra in their career who are supposed to have passed judgements on Records, would give such a statement.
Thanking you,
Yours Sincerely,
(B. Premanand)

At last, thank you for your letter No.RTI/26/2006-PMA. dated 17.8.2006 received by m& on 22.8.2006 regarding my letter to The Hon Prime Minister Of India dated 13.3.2006 which was received on 16.3..2006 after a long merry- go-round for five months from one ministry to another.
The question was a very simple one "As the Indian Prime Minister and the two retired Chief Justices of India would not give such statements without proper investigation.
To provide me with the certified copy ot the investigation on the sexual abuse of youth by Sathya Sai Baba.
Though you have confirmed that no papers related to such investigation are available in the Prime Minister Office," you have not been courageous enough to seek explanation from Mr.Vajpayee as the statement mentioned in the reference was made by him when he was the Prime Minister of India.
You have also not acknowledged the memo dated 9.8.2006 from the Ministry of Home Affairs No.MHA ID No.24013/11/2006 - CSR III with the copy of my tetter dated 17.7.2006 asking to get information from Mr.Vajpayee whether the statement signed by him and the two retired Chief Justices Of India was after ascertaining the true facts.
I would be thankful to you if you will kinaly write to Mr.Vajpayee and provide me with the informationsought for.
I have the greatest regard for one present Prime Minister who has after Mrs.lndira Gandhi added the duties of Indian Citizens in the constitution which even her father dared not, now Mr.Manmohan Singh by promulgation the Rights of information Act 2005 making his Government a transparent one. This needs a lot of courage as the majority of the politicians and bureaucrats would hate this law.

Though not necessary, I am enclosing herewith a Postal Order No.43 E 787592 (Rs.107- made in your name and I hope to get the information within 30 days of receipt of this letter under section 7 (i) of the RTI Act.
